Pros:

Although it might lack some of the features of other sit and stand strollers, the Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller delivers an outstanding performance to parents and children alike. The front seat will easily accommodate your newborn, offering a convenient harness system that will keep him safe and comfortable during the entire time. The front seat can be reclined to a fully-flat position so your little one can stay comfortable and take a nap even when strolling.

But since this is a sit and stand strollers, the Joovy Caboose also has a rear seat that is harnessed with a 3-point harness for your older toddler to stay safe and secure. At the same time, your older child will be able to get on or off the stroller easily, without fussing about buckling and unbuckling (although there is a seat belt that is relatively easy to use). There are two padded handles your toddler can hold while on the stroller for added security, or while walking beside the stroller to ensure that he will always be within your sight.

Each seat can hold up to 45 pounds, which equals a total capacity of 90 pounds per stroller. Moreover, the Joovy Caboose sit and stand stroller is equipped with a single canopy that will protect your kids from UV rays when the weather is very hot. However, the canopy will not entirely cover both children, and it might be best to use for one of them only.

The storage basket under the front seat is large enough to store all of your items, from tiny essentials like your phone and keys to larger must-haves such as your toddler’s food, water bottles, toys and more. There is also a kid’s tray that you can use to keep your little one’s bottle or even pacifier on hand, although the handle lacks a tray for parents.

Cons:

When reclining the front seat into a fully-flat position, your older toddler will not have enough room to sit on the padded bench, and he will actually need to stand on the platform instead. This seems to be a design flaw of most strollers of this kind, as both children will be able to sit comfortably only as long as the front seat is in a normal position.

The Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller also lacks tray for parents, which is available on the Graco RoomFor2 for $30 less. This means that you will not be able to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while strolling, although you may consider using the child’s tray for this purpose (not recommended due to safety reasons). You can purchase the Caboose Parent Organizer sold separately, which fits on the handlebar perfectly so you can always have your favorite drink on hand.

When the front seat is fully-reclined, the storage basket becomes inaccessible, meaning that you will have to place the seat in a normal position, take what you need from the basket, and then recline it back – this at the cost of disturbing your newborn’s peaceful nap.

Final Thoughts:

For a sit and stand stroller so conveniently-equipped, the Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller will definitely take the hassle out of strolling with two kids at a time. Some parents might find it a bit pricey since it retails and it also lacks some features that are available in cheaper models, but we think that the price is still relatively affordable since it is not a standard stroller. Not only will it make it easier for you to supervise your kids, but it will also make strolling fun and enjoyable for them as well.
